Native Android apps in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
Kotlin is the language Google recommends for Android, and Jetpack Compose is now the standard way to build its interfaces. Native Android makes sense when Android is a key market for you, when the app needs deep system access such as background services, Bluetooth or custom notifications, or when you already have an iOS app and want a true native counterpart. Our team builds Compose interfaces on a clean architecture, tests across device classes and prepares the Play Store release under your account.
What we deliver
Compose interfaces
Material 3 screens built with Jetpack Compose, adapted for phones, foldables and tablets, with dark theme and accessibility support.
Clean, testable architecture
MVVM with Kotlin coroutines and Flow, Hilt for dependency injection, and modules that keep features independent as the app grows.
Offline-first data
Room for local storage, WorkManager for background sync and a repository layer that keeps the app usable on poor connections.
Google Play billing and services
Subscriptions and one-time purchases with Play Billing, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Maps and sign-in integrations.
Play Store release
App bundles, signing, staged rollouts, data safety forms and store listing preparation under your own developer account.
How we approach it
When Kotlin is the right call
Choose native Kotlin if Android users are a large share of your market, the app relies on background work or hardware access, or you want platform-specific behaviour that cross-platform tools make awkward.
Designed for fragmentation
Android runs on thousands of device models. We set a sensible minimum SDK, test on low-end and high-end hardware and watch startup time and memory use from the first sprint.
Trade-offs stated upfront
Two native apps cost more than one shared codebase. If your feature set is mostly standard screens and forms, we will tell you when Flutter would deliver the same result for less.

How we work
- 01
Discovery
A short call to understand your goals, users and constraints. You get a clear scope, timeline and estimate.
- 02
Design
User flows and high-fidelity screens that follow Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines — reviewed together before a line of code.
- 03
Build
Iterative development in Swift and SwiftUI with regular TestFlight builds, so you can try the app on your own iPhone as it grows.
- 04
Launch
App Store assets, submission and review handled end to end. Your app goes live under your own developer account.
- 05
Support
Bug fixes, iOS version updates and new features after launch — based on real user feedback and analytics.
Questions
Kotlin or Flutter if we need Android and iOS?
Flutter lets one team ship both platforms from a shared codebase, which suits most MVPs. Kotlin plus Swift costs more but gives full native behaviour on each platform. We look at your features, budget and timeline before recommending one.
Can you convert our Java Android app to Kotlin?
Yes. Kotlin and Java interoperate, so we migrate gradually, starting with new features and the most fragile modules, while the app keeps shipping.
Do you still build Android interfaces with XML layouts?
New screens are built in Jetpack Compose. In existing apps we can keep XML layouts and introduce Compose screen by screen, which avoids a risky full rewrite.
What is the minimum Android version you support?
It depends on your audience. We check the device mix in your target markets and pick a minimum SDK that covers most users without carrying the cost of very old Android versions.
