EV charging and mobility apps built around the map
In mobility products, the map is the product. Drivers need to find a working charger with the right connector, see it on a clear map and get there without fiddling with their phone. Our team builds EV charging, navigation and mobility apps with live station data, filters, route planning and directions, and our own EV charging station app is one of our most-rated products on the App Store, so we design from real driver feedback.
Challenges we solve
Fragmented station data
Charging data comes from many networks and sources, in different formats and with uneven accuracy and update frequency.
Map performance
Thousands of stations need to render, cluster and filter smoothly on a phone, often with a weak mobile connection.
Use while driving
Interfaces must work at a glance, with large targets and minimal input, and hand off cleanly to navigation.
Range and route planning
Long trips need charging stops that account for range, connector type and charger speed, not just the shortest route.
What we build
Charger and station maps
Clustered maps of charging points, including fast chargers such as Tesla Superchargers, with details on power, connectors and access.
Connector and power filters
Filters for CCS, CHAdeMO, Type 2 and charging speed, so drivers see only stations their car can use.
Route planning
Trip planning with charging stops along the way, using station data and the user’s vehicle and preferences.
Directions and handoff
Turn-by-turn directions in-app or handoff to Apple Maps and Google Maps, plus CarPlay and Android Auto where they fit.
Data and API integration
Aggregation of charging network APIs and open datasets into one backend, with caching and data quality checks.
Built by our team
Our EV charging station app maps chargers including Tesla Superchargers, filters by CHAdeMO and CCS and plans routes with turn-by-turn directions.
Questions
Do you work with charging network APIs?
Yes. We integrate charging network APIs and open charging datasets, normalise them into one data model and cache them so the map stays fast. Access terms vary by network, so we check them during discovery.
Can users start and pay for a charging session in the app?
It is possible when the charging network or your own chargers expose an API for it, often through protocols such as OCPP on the operator side. We scope this with you based on the networks involved.
Can you build CarPlay or Android Auto support?
Yes, within the templates Apple and Google allow for EV charging and navigation apps. These have their own approval rules, which we plan for from the start.
How do you keep the map fast with thousands of stations?
We cluster markers, load only what is in view, cache station data on the device and keep filtering local, so the map stays responsive even on a slow connection.
